I set up this activity as a means toward some sanity (for myself) the other day. We used the catapult we made last year and some poms. Draw several circles and indicate their point value. That's all.
I do, like, NOTHING with my kids compared to you. Seriously, I'm practically propping them in front of PBS Kids with an open bag of Goldfish compared to this. (I'm not really doing that.) And you have a newborn! What??!
I think one of the problem with blogs is that they can make people seem way cooler than they actually are... But also, if I had a yard I would just make Kiddo go outside. As it is, I am stuck in a tiny apartment (our entire living space is only 650 sq ft) while the baby is sleeping and if I didn't give my son something to do he would drive me INSANE. And all I did for this activity was put a piece of paper on the floor. He already had the artillery. Then he left me alone (well, for 20 minutes)!
Thanks for sharing. I'm always looking for fun activities to get Alex more into math...currently she merely tolerate math. Unless of course it involves skittles or some other element of sugar :)
Wow! Gerrick would love this! (Why don't any people like you live near me?!)
