I've decided to slow down my blogging in 2010. You may have noticed that I blogged almost every weekday this past year, despite having a new baby in the home. But New Kid is entering a stage in which he never wants to be not-touching-mommy. And he also does not bless me with long naps or long stretches of sleep at night. So I am always tired.
Also, I am having a blog-dentity crisis, but I won't bore you with that.
I like blogging, so I am not giving it up, just slowing down so I can get other things done. Like eat lunch.
But maybe this will mean that each post will be interesting, instead of a place filler.
You can only dream.
Good luck and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I think I'm finally ready to get back into blogging and commenting and wanted to wish you the best for the new year. I can so understand why you need to slow down- lack of sleep and a constant "helper" make computer time a little rough. I'm shooting for one post a week! I wish I could help with the blog-identity crisis- I do hope you hang in there (blog-wise). I hope you're having a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteYa know...I am considering the once-a-week blog entry.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I should be spending more time WITH my son rather than writing ABOUT him. Don't get me wrong--I spend 24 hours a day with him but there are times I'm trying to quickly get a post out of my head & you're right, they're "fillers."
Ah...the new year. How it spins our heads around, eh? :)
Totally understand the post...we've slowed down posting definetly. I have to admit though that my brain is always thinking- this would make a great post. But finding the time to actually write it is the problem. I look forward to whatever you post, we're all doing the best we can :)
ReplyDeletemy "new kid" is sleeping in my lap as i type this. i have a lot of decisions to make about my non profit organization... i guess i'd be stressed more about my blog if i didn't have this other thing to worry about!! my blog is relaxing to me. i hope you are able to make a change that lowers your stress level. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that your break goes well, and that you do find time to blog now and then. I really enjoy reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteObviously, I've slowed down over the last year on my blog posts. Even though I loved posting it was starting to stress me out. And the point of a blog is most definitely not stress inducement. Plus the kids were doing less projects, but they're starting to ramp up again so I might be going in the opposite direction. So slow down, people will still read. You can always change it up as the kids change. Which they will do. Over and over again.
