I'm not so interested in discussing Kiddo's tactile sensitivities on this blog, but we engage in a lot of sensory play around here to help him with his tactile defensiveness. Over at LIFEclectic, a new global online parenting magazine, I've shared my go-to Five Easy Sensory Activities For Kids. Don't miss it, they are good for the general population, too.
What are your favorite sensory play activities? Leave comment and let me know.
I'll go check it out now!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to check that out too. Eli has a huge problem with "sticky" stuff so I need help in this area.
ReplyDeleteHowdy! Thanks for your ideas!
ReplyDeleteHave you checked out the book: Learning in Motion: 101+ Sensory Activities for the Classroom, Great Ways to Improve Learning and Behavior! by Patricia Angermeier, Joan Kryzanowski, and Kristina Keller Moir?

just yesterday Mr.Intensity asked for an activity and pulled out the shaving cream. I told him to go outside. He went outside...in the GARAGE!!! (that is filled with crap from our move). I wanted to strangle the little squirt. Thankfully I resisted the urge and instead gave him a pail of water and a rag.
