I took Kiddo on the New Year's Day Birder's Walk in Prospect Park. None of my photos of birds came out but there's an owl in this tree. Good luck trying to get a glimpse of it.
The park has a feeder set up. Everyone was oohing and aahhing over a Carolina Wren. It's all Greek to me, but if you look closely you can see the Downy Woodpecker.
I love the park's Audubon Center Boathouse. (The first urban-area Audubon Center in the nation!) It's gorgeous and my poor photographic skills just don't do it justice.
On our walk around the nabe we saw this interesting decoration. Aloha to you, too.
I find this building's light display quite charming. I hope they leave it up all winter. It's so lovely in the evening.

Very nice! It looks like the weather is pretty mild in NY this winter. Let's see if it lasts.
