Indoor Activities for Kids

Here is a select list of our indoor activities that I have posted. I will be adding to this list as I write new posts, but will not necessarily include everything. Although I have sorted them by category, categories are not mutually exclusive. An Artsy activity can easily filed under Motor Skills, or a Geometry activity under Science.

Nearly all are free or super-cheap, can be easily set-up (a few are more complicated) and many, depending on the age of your child, do not necessarily require intense parental involvement (Hurrah!). Of course, engaging in the activity with your child is never discouraged.

Have fun and to let me know which ones are your favorites!

  1. I am a Mom of 3 kiddos (ages 5, 5 and 2)and I live in the most opposite place in the world from you. An extremely small town in Texas. 20 miles from the nearest grocery store. We have a huge yard with our own playground, sand box, trampoline and tons of outdoor toys. I love your indoor activities though. My kids have been stuck indoors for most of the summer because of 50+ days over
    100+ degrees.

  2. Thanks, muffetm! We had a few days over 100 degrees this year, so I don't envy you your weather at all! I'm glad you've been found the activities helpful - being stuck inside with small kids is no walk in the park! :)
